What should I bring?

Some kind of small snack for yourself is probably a good idea, some of these can involve a lot of exercise! We bring spares to loan out, but a flogger or two for the flogging workshops is also a good plan.

How does practice work in the classes where you do that? Do I need to bring a partner?

We'll pair everyone up and have you take turns practicing on each other (wearing coats/sweaters for flogging, jeans or similar for caning) for brief periods interspersed with discussion. If you don't have a partner, we'll find you one. This is practice not play, experience strongly suggests that you won't actually die if paired with someone not of your preferred gender/orientation/whatever. :)

Do I need to register beforehand?
We've asked for this in the past, but not anymore.
What kinds of payment do you take?
For events at the Center for Sex-Positive Culture, we can now accept credit cards! Otherwise, cash or check only, please.
Do I need to be a member of the Center for Sex Positive Culture (formerly the Wet Spot) to attend workshops there?
You don't need to be a member to come to workshops. Directions etc are available if you don't know where it is.
Where's the CSPC Annex?
One door North of the main space, see link the to directions above.
What should I wear?

For our flogging workshops: Please wear clothing you can move comfortably in, and bring some kind of heavy sweater or jacket you can wear for cushioning during practice.

For everything else: comfortable everyday clothing is fine.

Can you let me know when the next (XYZ) workshop is?
We maintain a mailing list, and send out announcements of upcoming events. If you'd like to be added to it, please . (We hate spam as much as you- your address won't be shared with anyone else, and we'll only send out mail related to our workshops. )
Do you do private lessons?
Erika might, Russell doesn't.
Will you come present to our group?
We'd love to, but do need to be compensated appropriately for our time and travel.
Do you offer a discount for couples? I'd like to bring my partner just to practice on.
We don't- our expectation is that every person who attends will fully participate in any exercises. In our flogging workshop, this means everybody takes their turn for both target and practice. If you never ever ever bottom; it's okay, you'll survive- it's just practice and we don't have a bunch of mannequins.
My partner and I get really enthusiastic, can we skip wearing jackets during flogging practice?
Please don't. We can certainly appreciate the sentiment, but we hop back and forth between practice and lecture a lot, and the context shift is a lot harder for everyone if somebody starts having too much fun.
